Cities of spontaneous development often present many problems, ranging from sanitation to safety.
With urban planning it is possible to devise the best way to deal with the consequences of the excess of modern urbanism.
The planned cities are seen as an integrated system governed by a Master Plan responsible for dictating what is necessary for the quality of collective life.
The absence of management, planning, planning brings serious problems for the city.
Often, they are so harmful that they end up being difficult to solve. With the prior technical and political planning, this process is avoided, guiding the city to a more correct and sustainable development.
Historically, the designers were limited only to the urban design and the physical ordering of the municipalities.
In the post-industrial era, the objectives were more emblematic, such as the development of industrial areas.
But, today, they need to better deal with the collectivity and all of their systems. And there are many factors involved in this task.
That's why you can not talk about a planned city without urban planning!
